Our sage stone border is fashioned from a combination of sage stone, Pietra Nera and Yellow Terracotta over a cement base ensuring that the border is not only stable and sound, but also easy to install. Totally handcut, hand assembled, a truly handmade product. No border is the same as the artist’s hand is vital in creating natural nuances within each interlocking piece. Thicknesses can be 1cm or 2cm or to order as can the border widths and material combinations. All the De Ferranti borders are fully customisable.

Sage Stone Border with Flowing Black and Terracotta Stripes

Esse Border has a sinuous, ribbon-like design, with black stone bands twisting between sage green and warm yellow terracotta. The movement is strong and graphic, but the natural mineral surface keeps the border grounded and tactile. A wide sage-toned outer frame gives the composition structure, allowing the central striped pattern to feel energetic without becoming visually restless.

This sage stone border can be used to frame a floor, mark a threshold, create a perimeter detail or introduce movement within a larger stone composition. The contrast between Pietra Nera, terracotta and green stone makes it especially useful where a scheme needs rhythm, warmth and material contrast rather than a simple linear trim.
