Weathered Sage ceramic tile is a muted heritage green glaze with a softly aged character, sitting between sage, olive and faded architectural paint.

Part of the collaboration between De Ferranti and AAA – Alvaro Afonso Atelier, Weathered Sage ceramic tile brings a calm, timeworn elegance to the collection. Its muted green tone feels natural, architectural and effortlessly versatile, making it one of the most understated colours within The Greens palette.

The handmade surface allows the glaze to shift gently across each tile, creating subtle variations in tone, texture and depth. This gives the finished installation a quiet richness that rewards closer inspection without overwhelming the space. Weathered Sage ceramic tile is particularly suited to Kitchens, Bathrooms, Garden Rooms, Entrance Halls, Stair Risers, Courtyards and Heritage-Led Interiors.

Used alone, it creates a refined and understated field of colour. Within The Greens Mix, it acts as a soft balancing tone, sitting between the fresher Forest Moss MC34 and the brighter Spring Verdure MC32 and Golden Citron MC29.

Specifying the Weathered Sage ceramic tile

The published 11 x 11 cm format gives the muted glaze a compact scale suited to continuous colour fields, splashbacks and details. Physical samples should be reviewed under the intended lighting and beside stone, timber and plaster, as surrounding materials can affect how its sage, olive and grey undertones are perceived.

For larger installations, open and blend tiles from the supplied batch so variations in glaze depth, facial character and edge profile are distributed intentionally. Grout colour and joint width will influence whether the surface reads as a unified field or a more clearly articulated handmade grid. A dry layout or sample panel can establish the preferred balance before quantities are approved.

Where the tile is proposed for bathrooms, courtyards or other demanding settings, confirm product suitability and the substrate, waterproofing, adhesive and grout specification with De Ferranti before installation.
