The metallic disc mosaic Model 3 intensifies the celestial rhythm of the Cosmos Collection, presenting a fuller constellation of circular forms set within a softly contoured white ceramic matrix. The repetition of discs creates a confident, architectural pattern that feels both retro and futuristic.
Each circular element is finished in elemental metallustre glazes – oxidised bronze, brushed copper, smoky graphite, deep petrol blue, muted pewter and antique gold. Surfaces vary from subtly crackled to gently hammered and softly burnished, producing a rich interplay of reflection and absorption as light moves across the wall.
Small metallic studs punctuate the composition, adding moments of detail and precision between the larger forms. The contrast between the luminous white ground and the patinated metallic tones gives the mosaic depth, rhythm and a refined industrial elegance.
Handmade exclusively for De Ferranti by our in-house couture ceramicist, every installation is made to special commission. Natural variation in glaze, tone and texture ensures that each surface carries individuality and the unmistakable character of handcrafted ceramic artistry.
The metallic disc mosaic gains depth from the contrast between close-set circles and the pale matrix. Handmade ceramic discs catch light independently, so the circular lustre mosaic shifts from a cohesive field at distance to a detailed composition close up.
Cosmos Ceramic Tiles – Model 1 offers a more open framed arrangement, while Cosmos Collection – Model 2 introduces softened squares. Shifting – Platinum Insert Ceramic Tiles provides a cool metallic ceramic comparison, and Byzantine Bronze Mosaic offers a bronze tessellation beside this patinated metallic mosaic.
The metallic disc mosaic should be commissioned against the finished wall dimensions and intended lighting. Review a representative colour range, then confirm borders, joint treatment, substrate and installation weight for the commissioned wall mosaic before production begins.
