This turquoise floral tile presents a bold composition in deep indigo and white against a saturated turquoise ground. Ornamental, symmetrical and designed to anchor a patterned surface, it has immediate graphic presence.
The design centres on a stylised flower with scrolling leaves and petal forms radiating outward in a balanced, compass-like arrangement. The high-contrast palette gives it impact, while hand-painted glaze variation keeps the surface lively and human rather than flat. Use it as a single statement tile, a repeated field for full pattern immersion, or as the centre of a framed panel combined with plain tiles.
Ideal for splashbacks, shower walls, feature niches, fireplace surrounds, bar fronts and stair risers. Part of the Signature Series, De Ferranti’s eclectic collection of artisan-made patterned ceramics.
The tile can be read first as a complete medallion and then, in repetition, as part of a larger field. Review several pieces together to understand the secondary shapes created at the edges and corners. The Floral Quatrefoil Medallion Tile offers a more formally framed floral unit, while the Leaf Lattice Tile turns turquoise and white into a continuous textile-like network.
Use a full-size mock-up to judge whether the turquoise floral tile should occupy an entire wall or remain concentrated within a defined panel. Grout close to the ground colour will soften the module; a pale contrasting joint will make the square grid more explicit. Pair with quiet plain ceramics, plaster, timber or stone so the radial pattern retains hierarchy. Portuguese tiles and azulejos provide further context for painted ceramic fields, while raised-relief tiles and mouldings offer an alternative where surface depth is the principal decorative device. Confirm suitability for the intended exposure and review several production tiles before ordering.
