Limpet Mono – Denim brings denim scallop tiles into De Ferranti’s Modernist collection by Neisha Crosland, reducing the limpet-inspired curve to a calm single-colour repeat. The denim blue linework gives the surface colour and definition, while the pale ground keeps the pattern clear and balanced. The result is a hand-painted antiqued terracotta tile with movement, softness and a cool graphic character.
Within the Neisha Crosland Modernist collection, Limpet Mono – Denim shows how a shell-like curve can become a controlled repeated surface. The motif has a scalloped rhythm, but the denim colourway gives it a softer and less severe character than the black version. It feels ordered, but not hard.
The tile is available as a single motif 10 x 10 cm format, or as a four-motif 20 x 20 cm format. This gives designers control over the density of the repeat. The smaller format creates a finer, more intricate field, while the larger format allows the denim scallop tiles to read with more openness across walls, floors and feature areas.
As denim scallop tiles, this design is particularly useful where a project needs pattern with a calm blue note rather than strong contrast. It can work across bathrooms, kitchens, fireplace surrounds, residential interiors, restaurants, swimming pool areas and warm-climate external settings where the specification is suitable. The denim and pale palette can sit well with limestone, plaster, oak, bronze, white stone, dark joinery and relaxed coastal interiors.
