This geometric marble jali screen in black marble forms part of De Ferranti’s jali collection in marble, sandstone, metal and wood, with ornament developed to suit individual commissions. Star Lattice in a Geometric Marble Jali Screen

Model C presents a square black panel with a dense field of small stars, polygons and interlocking angular links. The repetition is tighter than Model A, giving the surface a finer, almost textile-like character when viewed from a distance. The polished dark border frames the white negative space sharply, while the internal lattice creates a succession of eight-pointed star forms and smaller connecting cells. This makes the design suitable where a high degree of visual screening is wanted without creating a completely solid surface.

The Black Marble Pierced Screen Jali – Model A offers a larger-scale, cube-like geometry, while the White Marble Pierced Screen Jali – Model B provides a lighter interpretation of dense latticework.
