Broccatello Spagnolo
Broccatello Spagnolo, also known as Brocatello di Spagna or Jaspi de la Cinta, is a rare historic Spanish brocatelle marble from the Tortosa area of Catalonia, quarried near Raval de la Llet, close to ancient Dertosa. Celebrated since Roman times for its distinctive yellow, gold, violet, red and cream movement, this richly patterned ornamental stone became one of the most recognisable coloured marbles of Roman Spain and later entered the wider European tradition of marmi antichi. Its brocaded, textile-like pattern gives it exceptional decorative depth, making it ideal for luxury interiors, statement panels, bathrooms, fireplace surrounds, furniture, decorative slabs and projects where rare marbles, historic provenance and antique architectural character are central to the design.
