Onice Grigio Vein Cut is a rare luxury grey onyx admired for its long, linear movement and translucent layers of grey, ivory, cream, beige and occasional soft gold. Unlike the cross-cut selection, which reveals a cloudier and more pooled pattern, the vein-cut method follows the natural direction of the stone’s mineral banding, creating elegant horizontal or vertical lines with a calm architectural rhythm.

Often associated with Turkish grey onyx, Onice Grigio combines the sophistication of grey marble with the luminous depth of calcite onyx, making it especially effective when polished, bookmatched or backlit.

While this particular selection is a contemporary luxury onyx rather than a single ancient quarry marble, it belongs to the wider family of translucent onyx and alabaster stones prized since Egyptian, Greek and Roman antiquity for vessels, carved objects, sacred interiors and decorative architectural detail.
