This panel uses the historic Versailles pattern as its structure - a framed square border holding a central geometric star, built from directional segments that shift tone as they turn. The result is subtle movement without busy contrast, perfect for interiors that want texture and craft, but in a restrained, architectural way.
The shagreen surface brings its signature micro-beaded grain: tactile, refined, and gently light-catching. In this colourway, the finish reads matte-satin, with soft highlights that bloom across the raised texture rather than reflecting sharply. Up close, you notice the delicate pattern and the tonal layering between each segment. From a distance, it becomes a composed, elegant field with a heritage pattern you can feel.
Supplied as pre-assembled panels on a stable substrate for clean alignment and easy installation. Available in real shagreen (stingray) or high-quality faux alternatives depending on project requirements.
Recommended Uses
Furniture cladding, cabinet doors, wall panels, feature sections, headboards, bar fronts, drawer fronts, and in specific build-ups and protective finishes, low-traffic internal flooring.
Shagreen use was pioneered by Jean-Michel Frank for interiors, architectural finishes and furniture.
