A softer, more seamless interpretation of our bamboo marquetry panel, finished with a natural grout tone to enhance warmth and continuity. Inspired by the geometry of folded hand fans, this surface celebrates line, rhythm and light.

Fresh bamboo poles are sun-dried, treated and carefully crushed to reveal their fine linear grain. The fibres are arranged in radiating formations and fixed to a substrate using adhesive and mechanical fastening. A natural-toned grout is applied before grinding, creating a harmonious, almost monolithic appearance.

The natural grout allows the bamboo’s texture to remain the focus, softening contrasts and producing a calm, refined surface reminiscent of traditional French straw marquetry - yet far more durable.

Straw marquetry use was pioneered by Jean-Michel Frank for interiors, architectural finishes and furniture.

Supplied in its natural colour, the panel can also be stained or dyed to suit bespoke interiors.
